Sigma Fabrications started manufacturing flight cases in 1976 and since moving to our new Redditch headquarters, we have been able to allocate far more space and facilities to this arm of the business.

We make cases for everything including musical instruments, back line, mains distribution, mixing consoles, speaker systems, equipment racks, and precision tools. Sizes vary from the most compact brief-case to large wardrobe cases.

Sigma Fabrications manufactures a wide range of cases and enclosures to protect your equipment from the rigours of touring. Our designs, manufacturing processes and finishing touches have been refined by the demands of our hire division. We have some very well-thought out features, to assist truck packing, manual handling and to extend the life of the case.

Customers
Our flight case customers include mixing console makers Soundcraft, Yamaha, Midas and Digi-design; tour equipment manufacturers and hire companies including Nexo, Total Audio Solutions, XL Video and PRG; broadcasters such as BBC Outside Broadcasts and even the Ministry of Defence. In addition, we have supplied cases to numerous bands and individuals.

Ranges & Finishes

Our range of flightcases come in a variety of configurations, thicknesses and finishes to meet different demands. These cases can be custom made for your specific requirement. We also have a growing list of designs to house specific equipment models.

We also manufacture cases we call our Touring Cases, based around our famous carpet-covered design. These cases are extremely strong, using 15mm birch ply and come in sizes for efficient truck packing. SSE Hire uses these cases extensively on the road.

All our cases and cabinets use the best fittings including catches, handles and hinges and these are available for sale separately.

By using computer-controlled CNC machining, we can precision manufacture a case design with confidence. Return to us for a replacement lid and it will fit perfectly.

We have developed our own special aluminium extrusions for mating surfaces for a really positive fit and recessed rivets for improved handling.
